EXERCEPTS FROM "INNOVATE YOUR CAREER - BECOME INDISPENSABLE"

Own your confidence

Own your confidence

Own your confidence

Some people are naturally confident. However, career confidence, the sort of confidence that undergirds success, is not simply self-confidence. It is a sense of purpose, passion, and an awareness of your value.

Align your compass

Own your confidence

Own your confidence

Our core values are like a compass. They align us to our true north.  Knowing your values is critical. Sometimes, all it takes is one good decision to catapult you to the next milestone in your career journey.

Grow your tribe

Becoming indispensable cannot happen overnight. It takes sweat, determination, and smart work to convert a dream into reality. If you believe anything is worth your time, you will invest the required effort to get it.

Grow your tribe

Navigate obstacles

Grow your tribe

There are several misconceptions about networking.  It is really all about building professional connections - relationships that have mutual trust and goodwill. It has a give-and-take dynamic. We call this process of building relationships "growing your tribe."

Navigate obstacles

Navigate obstacles

Navigate obstacles

Unfortunately, the world is not a perfect place.

So what are you going to do about that in your drive to become indispensable?  Knowing your obstacles is one thing; more important is knowing how to tackle them in your career journey.

Pay it forward

Navigate obstacles

Navigate obstacles

The concept of Pay it forward is based on the fact that you are where you are today, not simply because of the efforts you have made.  It is about influencing and supporting others to achieve their potential.  When someone invests in your career by doing something for you, rather than paying that person back directly, pay it forward by helping someone else.
